How to Play

Ncho is a two-player strategy game played on a board with 12 pots arranged in two rows. Each pot starts with 4 stones.

Objective

The goal is to capture more stones than your opponent by strategically distributing and collecting stones across the board.

Game Rules

Rule Description
Starting the Game Each of the 12 pots contains 4 stones at the start. Player goes first.
Making a Move Select a pot from your side (6 pots). All stones from that pot are distributed one by one into subsequent pots clockwise.
Capturing Stones If the last stone lands in a pot making it contain exactly 4 stones, you capture all 4 stones.
Continuing Play If the last stone lands in a non-empty pot (not making 4), pick up all stones from that pot and continue distributing.
Ending a Turn Your turn ends when the last stone lands in an empty pot.
End of Round A round ends when 4 or fewer stones remain on the board. The last player to capture takes the remaining stones.
Winning The player who captures the most stones wins the round. Win best of 5 rounds to win the game!

🎮 The Game of Strategy & Skill

Ayo2D challenges players to think several moves ahead, capturing stones through clever distribution and strategic planning. Every decision matters as you compete to capture more stones than your opponent across multiple rounds in this best-of-five championship format.

Win 3 out of 5 rounds by capturing more stones than your opponent each round.
