How to Play
Ncho is a two-player strategy game played on a board with 12 pots arranged in two rows. Each pot starts
with 4 stones.
Objective
The goal is to capture more stones than your opponent by strategically distributing and collecting stones
across the board.
Game Rules

Description |
| Starting the Game |
Each of the 12 pots contains 4 stones at the start. Player goes first. |
| Making a Move |
Select a pot from your side (6 pots). All stones from that pot are distributed one by one
into subsequent pots clockwise. |
| Capturing Stones |
If the last stone lands in a pot making it contain exactly 4 stones, you capture all 4
stones. |
| Continuing Play |
If the last stone lands in a non-empty pot (not making 4), pick up all stones from that pot
and continue distributing. |
| Ending a Turn |
Your turn ends when the last stone lands in an empty pot. |
| End of Round |
A round ends when 4 or fewer stones remain on the board. The last player to capture takes
the remaining stones. |
| Winning |
The player who captures the most stones wins the round. Win best of 5 rounds to win the
game! |
Controls
Touch/Click
Tap on any pot with stones on your side to select it and distribute the stones.
Pause
Tap the pause button or press the back button to pause the game.
Settings
Access game settings to adjust difficulty, sound, and other options.
Game Features Explained
AI Difficulty Levels
- Easy: AI makes random moves. Perfect for learning the game.
- Medium: AI tries to capture stones when possible. Good for practice.
- Hard: AI uses strategic planning and looks ahead. Real challenge!
Save & Continue
Your game is automatically saved when you pause or return to the main menu. Resume anytime from where you
left off!
Visual Feedback
- Yellow Highlight: Pot you're hovering over (can be selected)
- Green Highlight: Pot you've selected
- Red Glow: Pot selected by the Keeper (AI opponent)
- Orange Flash: Stone dropped into a pot

💡 Plan Ahead
Think about where your last stone will land before making a move.
🎯 Aim for Captures
Try to land your last stone in pots with 3 stones to capture 4.
🛡️ Defensive Play
Avoid leaving pots with 3 stones on your side that opponent can capture.
🔄 Chain Moves
Landing in non-empty pots lets you continue - use this strategically!

If your last stone lands in a non-empty pot (not resulting in 4
stones), pick up all stones from that pot and continue distributing. |
| Ending a Turn |
